Socially, it means creating pleasant, healthy, and well-designed neighborhoods where people enjoy living.

In construction, this approach translates into thoughtful choices regarding materials, building energy efficiency, land use planning, waste management, and reducing travel.

Our Environmental Commitment

The Alexma Construction Group is guided by a policy and action plan that frame and support our vision of responsible development.

We are committed to greening and preserving natural environments to combat heat islands and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the neighborhoods where our projects are located. This approach is an integral part of our project design, starting from the very first stages.

Our key priorities for the 2026–2029 period are as follows: expanding our range of eco-friendly products and construction methods; conducting air-tightness tests to ensure the energy efficiency and superior air-tightness of our homes; implementing a regulated deforestation plan and measures to protect rare species, with the goal of preserving natural habitats and raising awareness among our customers; rolling out our local and responsible procurement policy to enhance traceability, optimize our supply chain, and reduce transportation-related impacts; develop digital solutions facilitating virtual tours to limit travel; train our staff in eco-driving to reduce fuel consumption and associated emissions; and finally, improve our construction site practices by optimizing the sorting, management, and compaction of materials to reduce waste and increase its recovery.

Our Social and Community Commitment

Our vision of shared responsibility is just as essential to our approach to sustainable development.

The Alexma Construction Group is actively involved in the Outaouais community by taking concrete actions that directly address the needs of the local area. Beyond our role as builders, we believe that a company has a responsibility to contribute to the quality of life of the people around it.

It is in this spirit that we participate, among other things, in the distribution of school supplies and clothing to children whose families are experiencing financial hardship, in order to provide them with better conditions to grow and thrive.

We also support food distribution initiatives to assist individuals and families in need.

Because solidarity is also about being present and helping one another, we volunteer our time to assist certain seniors with the upkeep of their homes, thereby contributing to their safety, comfort, and ability to remain in their own homes.

Finally, we are proud to encourage local sports by providing sports equipment or uniform pieces to regional teams, in order to support youth engagement and the vitality of community clubs.

Our commitment doesn’t stop there. Our team members share the company’s values and embody this desire to make a difference every day. We are proud to know that many of them are also personally involved in various ways; whether through their time, materials, or financial contributions, to organizations and causes close to their hearts, including the Maison de la Ville, the Mathieu Froment-Savoie Foundation, the Breast Cancer Foundation, the Christmas child sponsorship program, and many other initiatives. Together, we aim to build much more than just homes: we want to contribute to a stronger, more compassionate, and more united community.

We are proud to support young hockey teams and their families by helping to purchase equipment and uniforms. Through this commitment, we aim to foster their development and encourage their passion for the sport.

We provide funding to organizations that work with students from low-income backgrounds to help provide nutritious meals and support their well-being, success, and learning on a daily basis.

We provide funding to organizations that work with students from disadvantaged backgrounds to help them purchase school supplies and give them the tools they need to learn in the best possible conditions.

We rely on Good4.Global’s (G4G) 4P Method to implement our commitments and develop a sustainability action plan. Progress on our commitments is made public via our member profile on their online platform. Our action plan is subject to periodic audits by G4G, which aim to ensure the authenticity of our statements and our ongoing commitment to our goals.
